We are in fact slaves chained to this rock of bitterness, willfully, willingly. If we would but remember our true nature, we could free ourselves from suffering. That is the point of the course that we've given. The father and mother represent our inner being, the Elohim. Our innermost, those forces or archetypes that reside in the highest levels of manifestation. And that that brother is Christ, the son.
