Jack Wilson: Arthur Schopenhauer might be the darkest philosopher we have. What does it feel like reading him, like walking through a tunnel or falling into a hole? He says he had a fascinating mind in a more or less dull body but maybe his body and his existence was not quite as dull as we sometimes think we will see. We're mainly going to be looking at his ideas, his view of the world and the pros and metaphors and analogies he used to convey it.
