The Story of Dick Winters
Dick Winters served with Easy Company and the 506th parachute infantry regiment during the Second World War. He retired in 1964 and lived until 2007 when he died at the age of 86. The men of Easy Company apparently took great risks for each other. They were best described as a brotherhood who shared experiences that even their own flesh and blood families could never relate to quite like their company comrades could. Stephen E. Ambrose quoted William Shakespeare's words from his play Henry V: We few we happy few we band of brothers.
