What Happened to the Lufthansa Group?

The Lufthansa group had a total meltdown today. What happened was that their planning system, they had an IT outage with their planning systems. None of the aircraft could depart. This cascaded to become a problem pretty much for the whole of Europe in varying levels rather than just Lufthinsa.
