I find it's dangerous at times to have IT driving strategy because they often go in a direction where the tail can start to wag the dog. It's operations role to think about strategy and figuring out how to get there. Whereas IT can tend to be fairly singular around its approach. Those rhythms in your calendar are what helps scale a company.
