The Problem With Hyper-Specialization in the University
Every academic in the academy has exactly the same story, because we're not generalists, we're specialists, hyper-specialists. And so although Kuiper is trying to continue a much older tradition of the university as something with deep Christian roots, he has to do that in a modern context too. He's doing all of this post-schlier marker for example. But the conditions of hyper-specialization are quite difficult ones to work with.
