I Like the Borrow Checker
I think Russ comes up as both the most loved and most hated language at the same time. When I started to like the borrow checker I was like okay does this mean I actually like it or do I have Stockholm syndrome? It's really a love hate relationship when you're learning it but once you understand it you justify to yourself that it's actually great. In a language that's garbage collected you don't have to worry about memory, which is why we see so many programs that just balloon into me. Yeah I'm kind of glad it's there because I'm glad I'm seeing that I'm making that cop out.
