In 2008, Yad Vashem declared Aslan and Diaguardi righteous among the nations. This honorific recognizes non-Jews who saved Jews from the Holocaust for altruistic reasons. Impristina Mustafa accepted the award on his father's behalf. Weeks after the ceremony, he too died. So I am now the fourth generation of rescuer.
