The Tories' Attempt to Replace Prime Minister in Downing Street?

I think undoubtedly they would attempt to replace leader and resist a general election. But the question is then would that lead to an election? Or do you think the likelihood then is that the conservatives would attempt anyway to insert another Tory MP into Downing Street? Looking at the polls at the moment, I don't think that would help them. They're possibly not quite there yet, but these things are moving very quickly. And it's not impossible to think that we could have a challenge within the next week or so. Do if you can take off your party hat for a moment, this is surely indicates a real flaw in our democracy that party members of a particular party can elect a prime minister
