Is There a Shift From Doctrine to Practice?
There has been a shift from the head more to the heart or to the hands. I think it also has to do with this uncomfortable sense that dogmatism has done a lot of harm in the church. The title of my intro doctrine book, practicing Christian doctrine focuses on how these things really don't have to be split up. And you need sort of beautiful basics in thinking Christianly in order to live that whole.
