The Coherence of Democracy
The idea of having characters that transcend the political. So I say a king or queen, it can be that and it has been in the past,. It can be saints to which can be holy people that are that stand above the fray. You know, there was a time when someone like Billy Graham for all the criticism he actually stood above politics. And everybody could agree that Billy Graham's a good guy, you know, even if I don't agree with them. But now we're seeing things on the left get more strongly polarized. We're seeing movements like alternative media and comics gatehouses. The story they tell about the other side's weaknesses is the most coherent part of their platform.
