Is Malice Malicious?
There's just way too much tolerance towards people who are either self-deceptive or making these kind of emotional appeals that make them seem like they are well-meaning. I think having a definition of malice that doesn't fall for that is actually the most obvious kind of exploit. And so when you basically say this is the farthest I would go is this kind of ambitious negligence and really, if anything, there's something morally culpable there but it is sort of more negligence than malice. It's also much more curable than madness than malice.
