I shot documentaries for maybe seven years, I suppose, before I sort of segued into features and that's a whole another story. The films I did were like that, where you had a set amount of time to make your film and then you left. But I believe the territory was a much more evolved thing, right? We had things that we knew would be story beats. Like we started filming prior to Bolsonaro coming into office with the anticipation that that was going to be sort of the act one catalyst that sets things into motion. After he comes into office, there's these massive invasions all over. And so a lot of the film really is like just this first
