How Casper's Story Changed My Life

Casper's life in such extreme circumstances did impact me and I have actually taught some short elective courses on the nature of changing people's minds. He was able to do so many things because he would intentionally search for something that challenged his beliefs, but then slowly started to change his mind. The power of reason and logic are fantastic and indispensable tools, but they don't become useful in changing another person's mind. Casper had a very powerful experience with Daryl Davis who is famous for interacting with people in the KKK and just showing them empathy. After their extended interactions with him, they finally decided "I can't believe this stuff anymore"
