The patient was admitted to the hospital given his constellation of symptoms and concerned that he needed a more expedited workup, especially after being out of care for so long. Our initial infectious workup included blood cultures, urine culture, a COVID test, respiratory viral panel, and all of these were negative. Additional infectious labs were sent, including Legionella, AFE sputoculture, beta-deak-lucan, coccycerologies, blastomycosis serologies, histumplosyserologies, and MTD PCR tests.
