The Life of Man on Earth Is a Drudgery
St. Francis to sales doesn't say that temptations are fruitful for us as spiritual beings just because we resist them. He's actually saying that temptations afford for us an occasion so that we can exercise the virtuous life. We shouldn't lose sight of that, I think, at least that's my experience. So he says here, you know, we should turn our attention to exercising the virtues.
