The Sacrificial Presentation of the Body in Baptism
The sacrificial paradigm that Paul employs in Romans 12 is not so explicit, but it is no less present in this chapter. The grounds for this exhortation are found in our union with Christ and His death and resurrection. In Christian obedience, we confirm in practice the offering of our bodies which occurred in baptism. By acting righteously, I am presenting my limbs and organs to God, a membrane of the sacrifice of my whole self.
