Cromwell's Reconstitution of Parliament

Cromwell's hope is that any potential for mischief would be moderated by the new upper house. Cromwell, as lord protector, was able to personally select the membership. He did make sure that the 63 men he selected were all staunch protectorate men who believed in the power sharing system.
