Google settled a class action discrimination lawsuit that was filed by female employees. They claimed that google was promoting less competent men over more competent women. Google is a big company, and they can afford to write a hundred and 18 million dollar check to settle this lawsuit. But clearly, the lawsuit is frivolous, because there's no way that google,. if they're really concerned about maximizing their profits, why would they deliberately promote incompetent men? Why do they want to overpay incompetent men? And in fact, why take the risk that one of their competitors will hire one of these women away? That's obviously a bunch of b s. i'm sure that google was not guilty of any of these allegations
