The Virik Lundine Scheme

Justice Department prosecutor William Power Maloney had indicted and convicted George Hill, top aide to sitting Republican Congressman Hamilton Fish. Maloney also indicted George Sylvester Virik himself, the top Nazi propaganda agent in the U.S. The America First Committee would end up surfacing again and again in Maloney's investigation of Nazi penetration of the United States. It wasn't just that the headquarters of the America First Committee were being used to hide and even burn evidence of the VIRAC plot in Congress. A head of an Ohio chapter of the organization was being paid by the Hitler government to promote and distribute fascist propaganda.
