The Importance of Self Mastery in Jiu Jitsu
In Jiu Jitsu, it usually takes a minimum seven, eight years to get a black belt. There are things that actually take more time rather than doing it just as efficiently as possible. And in my opinion, it is all about sort of that self mastery, that that pursuit of success. I have seen people that are very good at learning and picking up things quickly but still can't make up for 10 years of time. It will eventually catch up to where I want to be if I'm doing all the other stuff really efficiently.
