David Frum: God's people had serious gripes with Egypt from time to time. He says they resented Assyria, and their deepest resentment was for the Babylonians. The prophet Jeremiah told his people that Babylon is going to show up before Nebuchadnezzar showed up in 605. Frum: It hasn't happened yet, but it's like shroding or smash truck; it's basically already done.
