Rents Are Rising
I've had a general kind of unspoken policy of not really increasing the rent for existing tenants and especially because if I've got good tenants I want to reward them. But over those three years rents have exploded and now the amount of charging is so much lower than the market rate. It's actually better when rents are rising to do small rent rises each year even if it's only by 25 quid or something just something to stop too much of a gap opening up but also so there's a constant awareness on the part of the tenant that this is happening. While interest rates can be scary for some the rise in rents should give you comfort, Rob says.
