The Deindustrialization of the British Empire
The British ruling class can no longer make enough money via the production of commodities inside Britain. That's the point that you start getting the deindustrialization, which again, both Hobson and then Lenin identified in the early 20th century. The southeast of England got deindustrialized and turned into a leisure park for the rich. And they were able to hang on for another nearly 80 years after the end of World War Two. But now that's ending. They're desperately trying to find a way to save themselves faced with a world where basically the entire advanced capitalist system in the west is now facing the same problem - decaying imperialism.
