The language is such a fungible thing. If you're trying to convince somebody to sign on the dotted line, what better way to appeal to their reasonableness than to tell them it's an investment? The misnomer is that it always works no matter how dumb you are about going about it. That's where people get screwed. And something that is going to feel good later very seldom feels good nowh well.
