Being compassionate can actually take some of that pain away. You have to ride the wave of discomfort. It will rise and fall as you go. But you can also be gentle with yourself and reduce your suffering. Instead of criticizing yourself for how hot it is for you, don't compare on how hot it's for you compared to your friend or your seat mad or your neighbour. So this is what you do, you practise compassion before you do the activity.
