Overnight Rates and Excess Liquidity in the Market
So a lot of the price action this year has been driven by short covering. And then you got to a point last week where you had a really aggressive rate move. So once the short covering is done, you really need marginal buyers to kind of support that market and in every market. But at least in traditional markets, equities kind of lacked that marginal buyer in a meaningful way because as we mentioned earlier, it's been drifting a little lower.
