The Requirements for Real Time Operating Systems
Most cars on the road built in the last decade use either a berries c an x or some flavor of lennox to power their infatainment systems and also instrument clusters. And these are generally set up as real time operating systems, especially for the cluster. For the cluster, it has to be a real time operating system. So that means that everything tied to time slices. You don't need that necessarily for the entertainment. But the stuff that's in front of you, ah, that stuff has to be real time. Apple definitely, at some point was very much interested in people who had experience building real timeoperating systems.
