Maccabees Chapter 11 - Is There a Sermon?
The author of first Maccabees is just telling us the story with very, very little editorial comments. He doesn't say, here's where God was present. The sermon is going to be left out. This is not God being silent for 400 years. This is God being very, very present and very, very active and engaged. But we have to have the eyes to see it for ourselves.
