Adolf Hitler and the Effects of Mustard Gas
Hitler was subjected to a mustard gas attack late in the war. Hitler declared later he was blinded. He woke up in a field hospital and he couldn't see. It may well be that his injuries are psychological rather than physical. The effects of mustard gas can be debilitating. it can cause permanent damage to the eyes. It's very painful. It makes the skin burn and itch. We don't even know exactly how this happened.
