Conservatives and Democrats are more likely now to say, you know, no, let's keep families together. The effects of moral shame on immigration attitudes are similar to the effects on support for reparations or affirmative action for blacks. Some people would say low-skill immigration actually doesn't hurt the country that much. I mean, that's controversial. We don't have to get into that.
