The Fed's Discussion on Central Bank Digital Currency

The Federal Reserve says it's considering a central bank digital currency now. It mentions that there's collaboration with the Bank for International Settlements, everybody's favorite friendly bank in Switzerland. The Fed would become your bank, not the central bank of the commercial banks but you'd cut out the commercial banks and deal directly with the Fed. This is a big move towards centralization in this 110th year of the Fed.
