If this had been a progressive on the court, I'm here to tell you she wouldn't have said a word. We're back to politicians acting for outcomes rather than from principle. In her defense, politicians played to their base. The people who elected her to the house are not the people of the United States at large. It's the people in her district and it may well be the case. Even if she expects it to go nowhere, that's not the point. The point is that she get elected, which is the point of every politician. Yeah, I wish I could disagree with that, but how on earth could I?
