The way that works is the points credit after your close date. So if you were trying to meet the minimum spen a so the points credit in january, like your example, you would just want to not finish that spin till after your december card closhe date. Or you could just say january first to not stress about it. Because there are, we do have a lot of people who, as you said, are trying to time it as early as possible the following year.
