Is There Any Kind of Retraction in Sea Turtles?

Is there any kind of retraction, a defensive capability in sea turtles? Can they partially do that, or not at all? Or what? This is a really good question. I don't think it's a dumb question at all. Because it's one of the most am identifying features of sea turtles that they can not retract the limbs into the shell. And when we were doing, especially the olive fridly sampling, i always felt that smaller turtles were away more fasty than, like, tbig, big ones.
