The Benefits of a Plural Blood Patch

With the plural blood patch you may still have post biopsy pneumothoracies. But if you can treat those with an aspiration and a plural blood patch then you can decrease the rate at which you'll need to remove chest tubes. And so that's a very appealing thing. I mean a patient with a chest tube sitting in the hospital is generally not a happy patient. The physician that's checking chest x-rays and clamping and pulling chest tubes is usually not a happy physician.
