There seems to be a real knowledge now of children's attachment needs, and there's less of that than there seems to have been maybe in 19 70. In the 19 forties and h fifties, the dominant influence of parenting wat doctor spark, who told parents to leave the child alone in his room, shut the door and don't go back. No animal leaves the infants alone. Mother baboon will not do that. And he talked about the tyranny of the infant. Now we've seen the consequences of that, and so there's been a certainly grave reaction against that. But it's not broad enough, that reaction.
