The Importance of Imagination in Moral Thought

I saw just recently on TikTok there's a new filter that lets you see the world the way the dogs see the world. And I think that means that we can to some extent draw from our actual lived experience when we think about these issues. We can recognize from our own personal interactions with animals that yes they do have sentience, they do have agency,. They do have these features that when we reflect on these features in our own lives we recognize them as morally significant.
