Is Call of Duty an Annual Franchise?
I think this situation like the situation Activision finds itself in speaks a lot about where annualized franchises have got to. I don't believe that was a full price price released not as expensive as the full blown 2018 because it was essentially an expansion. Pokemon was technically an annual franchise for the longest time until Pokemon Sword and Shield did the the year where they did DLC rather than a full release. Assassin's Creed's the big one like that was annual every single year there was called a duty oh sorry there was an Assassin's Creed. Heck some year there were two Assassin's Creeds certainly around kind of the early generation you'd have like Rogue and Unity.
