President Bukele ordered a nationwide roundup of anyone presumed to be working with the gangs. More than 65,000 people were arrested and he had to build one of the world's largest prisons. The violence that had been a part of daily life in El Salvador has plummeted. There are legitimate concerns about some of the actions he's taken but his approval rating remains 75%.
