Moths flew toward lights because they flew toward the moon. If you fly toward the moon, you don't end up in the same place as any other moth. It's a little bit of a flimsy gas because they can't get to the m i know, i've thought about that before,. The idea is that they are using it for migration, maybe, but many moths who do this don't migrate.
