I think it's also an attempt to make it seem as though this deal is the obvious thing to do and the right thing to do. By getting the king involved or suggesting the king will be involved with the interesting role that the monarchy plays in our constitution, it has that sense of something that is settled, that is right, that ought to be done. I think that's actually what the D.U.P. objected to because they didn't like the king being co-opted in that way.
