Homeschooling Your Children to Learn Mathematics

Brian Kaplan, who was actually my first guest on this podcast, wrote a book called The Cases Against Education. He homeschools his own kids and one thing he courses as children to learn is mathematics. Brian: I don't think it's true that children taken seriously don't know how to do arithmetic. It's just not true. People who haven't been coerced have no trouble at all learning whatever they need to learn when they realize that they need it. We don't need to go through 12 years of torture, or even a year or two of torture at home with home education under coercion to learn maths. That's ridiculous.
