MDMA: A Catalyst for Therapy for PTSD

The Food and Drug Administration needs these two clinical trials in order to evaluate the drug for medical approval. Scientists think that MDMA may help reopen up what's called a critical period in the brain, like we experienced during childhood when we're learning new things. The second large trial has now been completed, and Mitover says the results are very promising.
