The Dhamma of the Buddha
Bambh: Why Buddhist action? What is the connection between these fears? Maybe surprisingly there's one traditional answer and I find this quite reassuring. The setting for this is a vast cosmological perspective of ancient India, which sees worlds come and go in endless evolutions. And whenever human beings re-emerge in these evolutions, there also appears an archetype or law-giver. He comes before the Buddha because humanity needs him first. If people don't have a social context which reflects positive values, they won't hear the Buddha's message.
