Tough fractures come in two flavors, communuted and generally well aligned so they're not going to be able to improve the position. The other tough fracture that you will see is one that has suffered a guillotine mechanism. In children with an open growth plate, there's something called a Seymour fracture. They pop out the nail, but this can have all kinds of complications.
