Barbarian - A Review of Barbarian

Ruth says Barbarian was the undeniable highlight of Frightfest, very genre savvy. It's able to effectively cut tension with real laughs, and with the best scare moment of the last decade. The film is retelling a story that's already been told at least once before on screen, very effectively. But it finds its own way through it, but it's interesting that it takes the structure from its predecessor and it makes that structure work.
