Is God the Father of All?

To isolate this verse from the rest of the passage and create a theology out of it is highly irresponsible on the part of any of the allosian who espouses such a habit. Such language implies that these men are the pioneers of their respective fields. In the same way, Satan is not a literal father of anyone, rather those who do evil follow in his footsteps. Why is it that theologians are so opposed to the universal fatherhood of God? I believe it is because such a concept leads directly to the notion that God's punishments should be seen as educative and geared towards restoration,. Not vindictive and retributive.
