I feel like as a woman of color I constantly had to prove that I wasn't there just because they were trying to fit you know some kind of like a token Asian or Latino person. So I was constantly trying to prove myself and I had a mentor really early on in the news who said learn as much as you can so that you can always know what's happening right? You're never gonna run to an experience then where the videographer says to you they can't get that shot because guess what do you want me to show you how to do it because I'll do it then, she tells us.
