The Impact of Rising Interest Rates on the Banking Sector
JP Morgan says the second quarter net income jumped by 67% year on year to $14.5 billion. Bank of America has been doing well, and that's actually been helped by its bond commodities and currency trading arms. The city group Wells Fargo have also increased their own net interest income targets for the year. And this is quite interesting, even because there's worries about sort of loan defaults, particularly in commercial real estate,. but the whole sector still seems to be doing quite well.
